“You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of.”

Responsibility is such a beautiful thing. I didn’t always feel that way about it. In the past, when I would hear the word responsibility, I would think, “Yuck, boring, heavy burden,” and, “No, thank you.” But now that I have enjoyed the lighter load responsibility brings, I wouldn’t live any other way.
One of the best things about responsibility is that it doesn’t waste time. When we live from a place of responsibility, we don’t waste time or energy looking for who is at fault. We simply look for and find a solution, then get on with it. Responsibility creates a great sense of empowerment; no need to sit and wait around for something or someone outside of us. Because being a person of responsibility causes us to be resourceful. We can contribute, serve, and be great team players and leaders.
Thinking from a responsibility mindset puts you in the driver’s seat, allowing you to easily handle any life, family, and work problems because having responsibility creates choice in any situation. Responsibility responds to difficulties by thinking, “How can I contribute to solving this?” One of the things that I have enjoyed most by living from a place of responsibility is how easy forgiveness and compassion have become for me.
There is no space or time for complaining. Where there is complaining, there is a lack of responsibility, so when we live responsible lives, free from complaining, it inspires and encourages others to do the same. You will notice responsible people attract other responsible people; complainers attract other complainers, and so on.
Choose to live your life from a place of responsibility. Create an environment of responsibility and enjoy the freedom, enjoyment, and lighter load it creates for you.
