The Perfect Game

“Make a game of finding something positive in every situation. 95% of your emotions are determined by how you interpret events to yourself.”

Brian Tracy

In Today’s Monday Motivation, Corry discusses THE PERFECT GAME with Jodie Stevens.

Our lives would drastically improve if we were to start playing The “Perfect” Game, every day, all day. The “Perfect” Game works like this…any time something goes wrong — being late to work, forgotten homework, pay cut, or a fight with a friend — no matter what it is- say to yourself, “That’s perfect.” Then think of all the reasons it is perfect. The more challenging the obstacle, the more creative you will become in finding why it’s perfect.

When you first start this game, it may be a bit of a challenge to come up with reasons it’s perfect that you ripped a hole in a new pair of pants or got a pay-cut. But if you are willing to play, you will find reasons. And as you develop the habit of playing this game, your thought process will begin to change. It will become easier and easier to see why disappointments and delays are perfect. You will be able to see how all things work to your benefit. It will become your natural thought process, and that is where the real beauty shows up. That is when your creativity will produce endless possibilities.

You can play this game with your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, co-workers, and neighbors. We have a lot of fun hearing the silly reasons my kids come up with. We are creating a culture of creativity in our world, and I encourage you to do the same in yours! Try it out today and this week. If something doesn’t work out as planned or if a disappointment pops up, remember to say to yourself, “It’s perfect!” and begin to think of the reasons why everything will work out in your favor.

Change is hard. It’s easier to live life, operating from our old, comfortable, and repetitive patterns, rather than actually taking action to create desired change.
