Flow

“Be content with what you have, rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.”

Lao Tzu

Finding your flow is as simple as knowing what you want and where you are going while embracing everything that disrupts your plans adds ingredients to your success. Flow is simple but not easy. Finding this flow requires surrender, flexibility, creativity, and appreciation. We must surrender the need to control.

In the book Power vs. Force, author David Hawkins extensively explored this truth. He explains the contrast of forcing something versus allowing. Force and domination may appear to have power, but they are actually rooted in fear and the need to control. There is no power in fear, and in fact, the need for control is imprisoning. On the contrary, when we are free from force and in a prosperous flow, we are free from fear and free from the need to control. We are taking actions rooted from faith, hope, love, and abundance. Where in your world are you experiencing struggle, strain, or stress?

Where are you feeling weary due to effort and over-exertion? When these emotions are present, you can be sure there is some domination at work, fighting against what is and trying to force what you want into existence. When you recognize this, you can choose to release that force. Let go of the fear and step into the flow of acceptance. That is true power.

When I find myself in that place of force and domination, I pause and give myself some space to allow clarity. I make a choice to stop resisting what is. From that space of allowance, I can see options and pathways. I am in peace and ease, and almost immediately, I can take action from a place of flow.

Don’t miss opportunities by trying to force your desires into existence. Instead, choose surrender, appreciation, and enjoy the flow in your life.

Change is hard. It’s easier to live life, operating from our old, comfortable, and repetitive patterns, rather than actually taking action to create desired change.
