“Every problem has in it the seeds of its own solution. If you don’t have any problems, you don’t get any seeds.”

Every storm can have a purpose. Storms test us, reveal what is within, and produce strength. We have all been through difficult times and the more turbulent the storm, the more strength and beauty it will produce in you. During one of the most difficult times of my life, I surely felt like I was in the middle of a storm. I was fearful and disoriented with doubts, confusion, and I felt completely alone. At first I spent great efforts trying to figure out my storm. I tried relentlessly to conquer it. I strived and strained to get rid of it. I exhausted my mind composing plans that only failed to make it go away. Despite my efforts to make my storm dissipate, I made no progress. When I recognized that I had depleted my will and my efforts, I resolved to embrace the storm for what it was, it was there for a purpose and that purpose was good. The storm was there to produce greatness in me.
Just like palm trees, my storm had come to break my ground and deepen my roots. When I finally made peace with my storm and accepted the uncertainty, I experienced a change on the inside, calming me. Though nothing had changed on the outside, nor did it for quite a while after. But the change on the inside created in me a new focus, one of peace, appreciation and trust. My inner strength was revealed and I am now so grateful for that time in my life. It revealed to me who I really am.
Whatever storm you may be in, know that it is there for a reason and the reason is good. Don’t resist it. Don’t run away from it. Let the storm run its course and reveal to you new insights. Allow the storm to do its work inside and you will be delighted at what shows up outside. Just know that the storm will pass and you will be stronger for it.
